Salvia New Dimension 'Blue'
Cute and compact, the upright, vivid, deep blue flower stems are a magnet for bees and butterflies. The ‘New Dimension’ refers to the intensity of the colour.
These dwarf Salvia add a new dimension of colour. Their size makes them ideal for the front of a bed, to be used as an edging plant or in pots. The fat flower spikes are good for picking, though if you leave them in the garden, beneficial insects such as butterflies and bees love them.
They require little care, though with a quick, late summer prune and a little fertiliser they will rebloom through autumn. Alternatively, dead head throughout the season.
Plant Dimension Salvia in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. Choose a sunny spot and water in, they become dry tolerant as they establish.
