Euphorbia 'Ascot Rainbow'
The gold and green foliage transforms throughout the seasons with stunning pink and red blushes through the cooler months. This plant is frost hardy, dry tolerant, wind tolerant and needs little in the way of care. Spring to summer they are crowned with chartreuse, cream and gold bracts that are punctuated with little red flowers.
Australian bred by renowned plantsman, David Glenn, this sensational Euphorbia is now loved around the world. It holds one of the horticultural world’s highest honours, the RHS Award of Garden Merit so you know it can be relied upon and we are so pleased to offer it.
Euphorbia ‘Ascot Rainbow’ thrives and looks wonderful in coastal areas, Mediterranean gardens, pots, beds, shrub border, fence lines or xeriscapes. It even grows well in containers
Euphorbia ‘Ascot Rainbow’ is easy care, even in poor soils as long as it has good drainage. It thrives in a sunny or light shade position. They become dry tolerant as they establish. A light sprinkling of an all purpose fertiliser in spring is pretty much all they need to be happy. It will be larger in the garden than if it is grown in a pot, where it will be more compact.
Plant in a sunny spot, if they are in too much shade the green colouring will dominate the foliage. Cut spent flower stems back to the base of the plant if they don’t please you – don’t forget to wear gloves as the sap irritates the skin, as it does with all Euphorbias.
