Agastache 'Salmon and Pink Fiesta'

A bicolour sensation with an abundance of gorgeous summer flowers. Tough as they come, Agastache offer tremendous value with pretty petals all summer long. Agastache ‘Salmon and Pink Fiesta’ is a dwarf variety ideal for smaller gardens or pots. The blooms are a mix of pinks and orange shades that combine in a dazzling manner, attracting beneficial insects and gardeners.

Agastache ‘Salmon and Pink Fiesta’ is fantastic in dry beds, cottage gardens, rock gardens and containers. It is an excellent plant for attracting birds, bees and other beneficial insects to your garden.

Agastache ‘Salmon and Pink Fiesta’ has fragrant leaves that smell like a blend of aniseed and lemon - they are even edible and can be used in salads or teas. If you enjoy the fragrance, try planting them along paths where you can brush up against it, or you could pick a sprig or two and bring indoors to enjoy in a vase.

We recommend you dead head your Agastache flowers regularly during the season to encourage more blooms. Or, if that seems like too much bother, give them a bit of a hair cut midsummer, add some fertiliser and await a second flush.

Tolerant of poor soils, so long as they are well drained, Agastache are ideal for providing long lasting colour as a dry garden plant. Agastache plants prefer a full sun to light shade position, they need water to establish, then you will only have to worry if rainfall is low, however the flowering season will last longer if the plants are kept moist.

It is a good idea to cut your Agastache plants back to the ground in winter to maintain a healthy bush.

Agastache is also known as 'Hummingbird Mint', and is a native to the south western U.S.A.
