Agastache Collection

Agastache make landscaping a breeze. The flowers are both generous and long lasting. Agastache are fantastic in dry beds, cottage gardens, rock gardens and containers. It is an excellent plant for attracting birds, bees and other beneficial insects to your garden.

Agastache have fragrant leaves that smell like a blend of aniseed and lemon - they are even edible and can be used in salads or teas. If you enjoy the fragrance, try planting them along paths where you can brush up against it, or you could pick a sprig or two and bring indoors to enjoy in a vase.

Agastache flowers and leaves are edible and can be used in salads or teas.

Standing up to heat and tolerant of poor soils, so long as they are well drained, Agastache are ideal for providing long lasting colour as a dry garden plant. Agastache plants prefer a full sun to light shade position, they need water to establish, then you only need to worry if rainfall is low. Rabbits rarely show an interest and they aren’t troubled by disease.

We recommend dead heading your Agastache flowers regularly during the season to encourage more blooms. Or a mid season cut back (don’t forget to water and fertilise after) for a rebloom into autumn. Or let them grow, they will be taller and may require staking but their blooms still last many months.

It is a good idea to cut your plants back to the ground in winter or early spring to maintain a healthy bush and allow the new growth to shine.

Agastache Collection, one of each variety separately labelled. Includes ‘Aztec Rose’, ‘Sweet Lili’ and ‘Blue Fortune’.
