African Daisy Margarita 'White Spoon'

Pretty, fluted and flared petals in white with a strong purple reverse that shows through as the petals curl inwards. Remarkably detailed with a lovely texture. Heat tolerant, well branched plants with a lot to give.

Robust, well branched cultivars, these African Daisies will grow to form handsome, heat and frost tolerant, rounded sub shrubs adorned with flowers from spring to autumn. Their compact habit lends well in pots and sunny borders, providing a nice pop of reliable, easy colour where you need it.

Unlike the old fashioned varieties, these modern African Daisies stay open night and day. They also have a better shade tolerance and all round strength.

If you cut African Daisy plants black late summer and add some fertiliser they can go on to produce second flush of flowers that will easily last into autumn.

Plant in a sunny spot with moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil for best results. Water to establish, then keep moist during flowering to keep them blooming at their best. They will cope with dry conditions but will not flower as well or for as long. In warmer climes they tend to remain evergreen. In areas with hard frost they may be annuals.

In pots, if you want them to bloom really well, add a weekly dose of diluted liquid fertiliser and they will go nuts!
