Pasque Flowers
The blooms have an intense colouring. The sizeable golden stamen provide a stunning contrast. The large flowers average 5-7cm across. They open on short stems from late winter to early spring.
You can’t help but love these plants. The flowers are followed by handsome, round fuzzy seed heads like that of Clematis. Along with the flowers, the grey green foliage has a soft fuzz or fur covering. This adds the plants beauty. In the suns rays it give the plant a special glow. The foliage continues through summer.
Pasque Flowers are easy to grow as long as they are planted in a well drained soil in a full sun to light shade position. They will tolerate dry conditions once established. Perfect for rockeries, pots and the fronts of beds or borders. The longer they are established the more blooms you will receive.
Previously known as Anemone pulsatilla. Commonly known as Pasque Flower or Meadow Anemone.
