Iochromas
Iochroma are related to the Brugmansia. They are quick to grow and establish. Iochromas flowers from spring to late summer, and each flower lasts for weeks. The flowers are borne in clusters that hang like elongated bells. They love warm conditions and protection from frosts. In cooler climates it goes partially dormant but grows vigorously and flowers well as the temperatures increase in spring time. Cut it right back in this part dormancy for a vigorous, bushy shrub.
Pendent flowers mass at the ends of branches for months from summer to autumn. Each bloom is around 10cm long.
